Having worked in events since 2006 I’ve picked up a fair amount of knowledge around how to make a Gate/entry run smoothly.
We’ve worked with some of the biggest Comic Cons in Europe providing technical services, production management and senior management services to help their event and entry run well.
We have an ongoing contract with one of the largest convention organisers in Europe providing technical support, scanner rental, photoshoot support and event consultancy.
What this means practically is that the organiser doesn’t have to worry about on the day ticket scanning at all. Below is an example of our standard workflow if you choose DSPE Event Solutions as your partner to make ticket scanning easy.
Ticketing Support Before the event
We’ll work with you to identify your needs, where scanners are needed and talk through any potential problem points. This can be something as simple as looking at a 4G coverage map and making the decision Satellite wifi would be a better solution for the event.
We’ll setup a dedicated account with you with specific restrictions for your events but with all the required access for ticket scanning.
We’ll also do as much config as possible in advance of the event to make the on the day experience more seamless and stress free. This can include working with you to create a restrictions matrix of which tickets need to be scanned and where.
Ticketing Support Onsite
If you pick one of our packages that comes with an onsite Access Control Manager then this elevates your experience massively.
Our Access Control Managers are all highly trained and have over 5 years event experience each. We will take the headache out of onsite access control management for you. Some of the tasks our team do to make things easier for you are:
- Connect the devices to the wifi and check they’re syncing correctly
- Set area specific restrictions such as having a VIP Gate and a standard entry gate.
- Distribute and manage the equipment throughout the day. This can be something as simple as swapping a battery when one is low.
Ticketing Support Post Event
If wanted we can provide a report for you showing a whole range of ticket related information such as tickets sold vs tickets checked in, busiest 15 minutes window on the gate and on the day sales.
We work with all sizes of events to provide these services. From a small corporate event where only a couple of scanners and a 4G router are required to large scale events with 150 scanners distributed daily along with 30 selling points to look after we’ve covered it all.
Our team has extensive experience in the event industry, with our founder, Dan, actively participating in events himself. Dan also plays a crucial role in training new staff, ensuring they reach the high standards needed to deliver a seamless access control experience for your event.
We’ve worked with a whole range of different ticket providers over the years and as long as there is an android scanning app we can make it work with our hardware. Our devices are all configured straight out of the gate to scan CM Tickets, Eventbrite and Ticket Tailor however over the years we’ve worked with a whole range of different providers such as TYG Tickets and Ticket Script.
